Kemi Badenoch Emerges Most Popular UK Party Leader in New Poll
British politician of Nigerian descent Kemi Badenoch has been ranked as the most popular political party leader in the United Kingdom, according to a new opinion poll.
The survey, conducted by More in Common, showed that Badenoch recorded a net approval rating of minus nine. This marks a significant improvement from her earlier rating of minus 32 before her party’s conference in October last year.
Kemi Badenoch, who currently leads the Conservative Party, ranked ahead of other major political figures, including Nigel Farage, who scored minus 16, and Ed Davey, who recorded minus 11.
The poll also placed Keir Starmer at the bottom of the ranking with a minus 42 approval rating. Other figures, such as Zack Polanski, also featured in the survey with lower ratings.
According to analysts, Badenoch’s improved performance may be linked to her increasing visibility and more active role in public discussions in recent months.
Luke Tryl, UK Director of More in Common, noted that her recognition among the public has grown significantly. He explained that while many people were previously unfamiliar with her, she is now frequently mentioned in political conversations, even among those who do not support her party.
Despite her rising personal popularity, the poll revealed that the Conservative Party has not yet experienced a similar increase in overall public support.
Kemi Badenoch’s growing influence highlights shifting dynamics within UK politics, as individual leadership appeals increasingly shapes public perception.
The development also reflects the evolving role of political communication and visibility in shaping voter opinion across the United Kingdom.
