Tiwa Savage Launches Foundation to Support African Creatives with Music Education

Global Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has launched the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, a non-profit initiative designed to empower emerging African creatives through music education, mentorship, and access to industry opportunities.

The announcement was made via her Instagram page, where she described the initiative as a new chapter focused on giving back to Africa after years of building an international career. She emphasized the importance of creating pathways for young talent to grow within the music industry.

The foundation’s flagship programme, titled “Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Programme,” is scheduled to take place in Lagos from April 23 to April 26, 2026. The programme is being organised in partnership with Berklee College of Music, a globally recognised institution known for music education.

According to organisers, the four-day intensive training will select 100 participants who will receive hands-on instruction, mentorship, and exposure to industry professionals. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between raw talent and professional development in Africa’s growing music ecosystem.

The curriculum is expected to cover key areas such as music production, songwriting, sound engineering, and the business aspects of the music industry. Emphasis will be placed on practical learning and equipping participants with the tools needed to build sustainable careers in music.

Through the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, Tiwa Savage joins a growing number of African artists investing in structured platforms to nurture the next generation of creatives.
