Adekunle Gold Opens Up on Avoiding Trouble, Emphasizes Desire for Peace

Nigerian singer Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, has shared insights into his personal approach to life, explaining why he deliberately avoids conflict and seeks calm and tranquility. The Orente singer spoke during a video shared on social media on Thursday, January 22, where he highlighted the importance of peace over confrontation.

According to Adekunle Gold, his decision to steer clear of trouble is rooted in self-awareness. He admits that he sometimes speaks impulsively and could later regret his words if caught in heated situations. For this reason, he often removes himself from potential arguments before they escalate, valuing his peace of mind above temporary disputes.

The father of two emphasized that avoiding conflict does not indicate weakness or an inability to defend himself when necessary. Instead, he views walking away as a conscious choice to protect his mental health and personal growth. “Some of us, we just don’t like trouble. In fact, I don’t want to be near it, I just want to live,” he said.

Adekunle Gold also reflected on why some people seem drawn to conflict, questioning why they do not seek rest and serenity in their lives. He stated, “Me, I know myself. My mouth is not good at all. Anybody that knows me, my mouth is not good. So, I don’t even want to say anything out of regret, so I’d rather just step away. What is your mind like? Why do you not like peace? Why do you not like peace of mind? Why don’t you just walk away?”

His comments have resonated with fans, who praised him for promoting a message of self-control, personal responsibility, and prioritizing mental well-being in the often high-pressure environment of the entertainment industry.

Adekunle Gold’s philosophy underlines a growing awareness among celebrities about the importance of mental health, mindfulness, and maintaining harmony, even amidst public scrutiny and industry pressures.
