This Is Unacceptable – Phyna Condemns Police After Road Stop in Nigeria
Reality TV star Phyna has publicly criticized the Nigerian police after a tense encounter on a road where she was randomly stopped by an officer. The celebrity questioned the legality of the stop and emphasized that proper procedures should be followed when law enforcement conducts vehicle checks.
According to Phyna, officers should ensure their vehicles are parked correctly and in a safe manner before approaching any car for inspection. She described the manner in which she was stopped as unprofessional, unnecessary, and “unacceptable,” expressing frustration over the approach used by the officer.
Speaking about the incident, Phyna stated that she was shocked by the experience, noting that it is unusual for police in Nigeria to stop vehicles without following proper protocols. She demanded explanations from the officer for the stop and warned that she would escalate the matter to higher police authorities if necessary.
Phyna also advised her driver to remain calm during the encounter, highlighting the importance of avoiding confrontation while still holding law enforcement accountable for their actions.
She remarked:
“Oga, I am a celebrity. How dare you stop me and say what you said? In the middle of the road, police in Nigeria will now just pick a random car and stop it. I’ve never heard of this before. Police need to park properly before stopping a vehicle. You’re not allowed to stop like this.”
The incident has sparked discussions online about proper police conduct, vehicle checks, and the rights of drivers in Nigeria, with many supporting Phyna’s call for accountability and adherence to law enforcement protocols.
