VeryDarkMan Pledges to Send Talented Nigerian Boy Abroad Following $50,000 Gift
Popular activist and social media personality VeryDarkMan (Martins Vincent Otse) has announced plans to sponsor a young Nigerian inventor to study abroad after receiving a $50,000 cash gift from a benefactor impressed by his humanitarian work. The activist described the decision as a way to ensure the boy’s exceptional talent is not wasted.
VeryDarkMan shared that the benefactor fulfilled a financial promise after observing his consistent contributions to humanitarian initiatives across Nigeria and beyond. In a video posted on Instagram on December 18, 2025, he recalled encountering the gifted child, whose Instagram handle is @smartician0, and was inspired to take immediate action.
The young inventor has already gained attention for creating functional electronic devices such as blenders, power banks, and projectors entirely from scratch, using locally sourced materials and personal ingenuity. VDM explained that seeing the boy’s creativity and skill motivated him to act.
“I will not let that boy’s life or talent die like many others in Nigeria,” VeryDarkMan stated. He has reportedly contacted the boy and his parents to begin discussions and make arrangements for his education and development outside the country.
VDM emphasized that while part of the $50,000 gift will go toward personal obligations, the primary focus will be on supporting the boy’s future. He noted that sending him abroad will provide access to better facilities, mentorship, and opportunities to fully realize his potential.
The announcement sparked emotional reactions online, with many Nigerians praising VDM’s generosity and vision for nurturing young talent. Reactions included:
- @tbr_records: “This is extremely pure love ❤️ from heaven. I may not agree with a lot of your actions, but for this one, heaven will smile at you always.”
- @officialbenison: “I like VDM so much because of things like this. A full-grown man like myself in a barbing saloon filled with men, and I’m dropping tears from my eyes. You’re about to change the life of a generation yet unborn.”
- @gifted_kollectionz: “Wow, amazing, he deserves this honestly. God bless you.”
- @tripleu_tv: “VeryDarkMan, I am proud to be your friend. Together we go change more lives. I got your back morning and night, bro.”
- @WhispersAfrica5: “This is beautiful! VDM turning blessings into opportunities for the next generation. Smartician’s talent deserves this spotlight. God bless everyone involved!”
Earlier, VeryDarkMan had also issued a warning to his followers regarding Ross Boss, a Chinese man associated with him in China, alleging potential scams. Ross publicly denied any wrongdoing, calling VDM childish and urging him to provide evidence.
VDM’s decision to sponsor the young inventor highlights the growing trend of Nigerians investing in homegrown talent and creating opportunities for youth to thrive globally. Many observers have described his initiative as inspiring, emotional, and a critical step toward supporting innovation and education in Nigeria.
