Odumodublvck Says He Would Donate A Billion Naira To RCCG If He Could

Popular Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has declared that he would gladly give one billion naira to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) if he had the resources. The music star made this known in a post on social media, explaining that his household would always support the work of God.

Odumodublvck said serving God is a matter of the heart and should not be seen as a forced obligation. He noted that financial donations do not guarantee entry into heaven but emphasised that supporting the church is still important. According to him, true devotion comes from actions and commitment, not just money.

“If I had a billion to contribute to the RCCG, I would do it and even more. It is not by force to serve the Lord; they did not say that if you do not drop 1bn, you will not enter heaven. As for me and my household, we will continue to support the work of Christ shamelessly, no matter what you people throw at us. You are just fulfilling the scriptures. God bless you,” he wrote.

The rapper also addressed those who criticise giving to churches, arguing that religious institutions need funds to operate effectively. “Shey na Holy Spirit dey fuel the gen? Na Holy Spirit go pay for logistics for evangelism? The church needs money, much more money than the average business,” he added.

He pointed out that many pastors use their resources to support struggling members of their congregations, something critics often overlook. Odumodublvck noted that while some people enjoy their weekends after service, others depend on the church for small handouts to get by.

His statement has sparked debates online, with some praising him for defending church contributions and others arguing about the role of money in religious worship. Regardless of differing opinions, the rapper’s comments have reignited discussions about generosity, faith, and the realities of running a church in today’s world.
