2027 Election Could Surprise as Tinubu’s Bid Uncertain, Amaechi Set for Comeback – APC Chieftain

A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has suggested that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu might not contest the 2027 presidential election, pointing to growing public dissatisfaction and international scrutiny as key factors.

Chief Eze, who is a close ally of former Minister of Transportation Chibuike Amaechi, stated that the upcoming election could be filled with unexpected developments. He hinted that revelations from the United States—particularly the possible release of an alleged file on President Tinubu—could alter the political landscape dramatically.

He emphasized that Amaechi is seen by many as a viable alternative and a strong contender for the presidency in 2027. According to him, Nigerians across different sectors are consistently reaching out to him to inquire about Amaechi’s political future and potential return to the national stage.

Speaking through a media statement, Eze expressed growing public frustration with the current administration, accusing it of failing to address pressing national issues such as economic hardship, hunger, insecurity, and violent crime. He argued that a government more focused on securing re-election than solving real problems cannot claim to practice true democracy.

He described Amaechi as a patriotic leader with a solid public service track record and the will to sacrifice personal gain for the good of the country. Eze insisted that what Nigeria needs at this critical time is purposeful leadership, and Amaechi is well-positioned to offer that direction.

He further warned that 2027 could bring about serious political shifts. “President Tinubu may not even be in a position to contest if the United States follows through with its actions,” he said, implying that external influences and internal dissatisfaction could derail the President’s plans.

With the nation’s challenges worsening, the APC chieftain concluded that calls for Amaechi’s return are growing louder, as citizens yearn for a leader capable of tackling Nigeria’s deepening crisis and restoring hope.
