Top African-American Actress, Regina King Loses Son to Suicide at 26
American actress Regina King is devastated to lose her son Ian Alexander Jr. after committing suicide at the age of 26, as reported in a statement. “Our family is devastated at the deepest level after the loss of Ian,” King said to People magazine.
According to the publication, King had just celebrated his son’s 26th birthday last Wednesday, it was a day full of joy in which they both looked forward to their future, they had many personal and professional projectors. Alexander Jr. was very focused on music.
“He is such a bright light that he cared deeply for the happiness of others. Our family asks for respect and consideration during this very private time. Thank you,” the letter reads.
