Lampard said, “There may be some weariness. I hate to say it after a defeat because it feels like an excuse, but even in the first 60 minutes when we were the better team, we didn’t have a zipper over us.
“We traveled to Everton, came back, then traveled to Wolves, but everyone is in this together.
‘We have a few injuries in areas where I can’t change too much, so I understand that side of it.
“We got two different kinds of games in these last ones. Everton made it difficult for us to take them down – they didn’t – and Wolves counterattacked badly.
