Biden Makes First Policy Statement, Ex Trump Aide Joins Team
The President elect Joe Biden held his first policy speech on Monday, focusing on the coronavirus pandemic. In the speech he implored Americans to wear masks due to fears that an additional 200,000 people could die in the country from the virus. The speech came after Biden praised scientists working on Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine, which was shown to be 90 percent effective, but warned the injection would not be available for some months.
Meanwhile, a former official in the Donald Trump’s administration has joined Joe Biden’s COVID-19 task force, months after he blew the whistle on his old boss’ handling of the pandemic.
