‘IF THE PEOPLE WANT IT, I’D LOVE TO DO IT’ – MIKE TYSON
The 54-year-old Tyson, who is preparing for a highly-anticipated return to the ring against Roy Jones Jr on November 28, faced ‘The Real Deal’ in two iconic fights in 1996 and 1997, with Holyfield winning both bouts.
The first fight ended with an 11th-round stoppage as Tyson lost his WBA world title, but the rematch one year later would go down in boxing folklore after he was disqualified for biting a chunk out of Holyfield’s ear.
Speaking on an NFL half-time show, as reported by MMA Fighting, Tyson suggested there was unfinished business between the pair and would consider it if there was a clamour from the fans to make it happen.
‘That’s always something that we can do if the people want it, if it’s pragmatic enough, I’d love to do it,’ he said.
