Police Raid Cross River Baby Factory, Rescue Pregnant Women, Babies
The police in Cross River State have raided a baby factory and rescued three pregnant women and two babies in the Akamkpa Local Government Area. The state Commissioner of Police (CP) led the operation, which took place around 3-4am on Wednesday. The CP said “Credible intelligence at my disposal revealed that one Imaobong Asuquo of Obot Udoma village, Akamkpa Area Mine, runs a baby factory in her house. The suspect Imaobong Asuquo, confessed to the crime. The suspect further stated that she had sold three new born babies for N500,000 each to one Iquo of the Technical roundabout, Calabar,who is her partner in crime. The suspects are in custody and investigation is in progress”
