City, Messi Agree Contract Terms
Manchester City and Lionel Messi have reportedly reached an agreement for his transfer to the Etihad this summer. The pair have successfully struck a deal over personal terms and the citizens are now ready to enter negotiations with Barcelona. Earlier this week, Lionel Messi shook the whole football fraternity by dropping a transfer bombshell following his side’s disastrous 2019/2020 campaign. According to El Periodico, the club top shots informed their captain that there will be no meeting for anything other than negotiating a new contract. The Spanish giants have told the Argentine that he is not going anywhere. Messi has release clause in his contract that is worth a whopping $833M. Man City and PSG are interested in Leo, with the Citizens leading the race, but Europe’s two mega rich cannot match that figure. The talisman forward was keen on negotiating a reasonable fee but Barcelona are not open to this root.
